Istvan Schreiner
Principal Clinical Psychologist
Istvan is a Clinical Psychologist and holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degree, a Masters of Forensic Psychology degree and a Masters of Clinical Psychology degree. Istvan has over 18 years clinical experience both in the private and the public sector, working for Northside West and Northside Cremorne private psychiatric clinics, the University of Sydney and for various community organisations. As part of these positions Istvan carried out neuropsychological assessments with psychiatric inpatients, designed and supervised treatment programs and provided individual therapy.
Istvan is highly experienced in conducting psychological assessments with children and adolescents. He carried out mass testing in NSW public and independent schools to determine the nature of worry in school children and assisted a large scale research study of disadvantaged youth in NSW. Istvan is an accredited Cool Kids Anxiety Program provider and received formal training in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessment and diagnosis. As Principal of CPAC Istvan has conducted or overseen in excess of 3000 psychological assessments with children, adolescents, young adults, adults and families, making him a highly experienced practitioner in his field.

Catrina Bargwanna
CLINICAL Psychologist
Catrina is a Clinical Psychologist and holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degree and a Master of Clinical Psychology degree. Catrina completed a postgraduate internship with Comprehensive Psychology in 2018, where she received extensive training in the assessment of learning difficulties, intellectual functioning, and general behavioural and emotional difficulties. Catrina has also received formal training in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessment and diagnosis.
Catrina also has an interest in the treatment of mental health difficulties. She has worked as a therapist with Apex Psychology for the past 7 years where she has a large client base and helps people who are facing challenges including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, adjustment to major life stressors and relationship difficulties. She uses a range of treatment modalities, including CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), DBT (dialectical behavioural therapy) and schema therapy.
In early 2026 Catrina joined the Comprehensive Psychology team and conducts assessments with children, adolescents and adults.

Peggy Ann (Flin) Samson
Registered Psychologist
Flin is a Registered Psychologist with a Bachelor of Clinical Psychology (University of Amsterdam), Masters of Criminology (Sydney University) and a Masters of Forensic Psychology (University of New South Wales). While studying at UNSW (2009-2011) Flin was an intern at Sydney Clinic, a private psychiatric hospital. Since graduating she has continued her work there, now as a registered psychologist, working with people diagnosed with personality and mood disorders, and substance abuse issues, providing individual as well as group therapy. The therapeutic approaches used have their foundations in DBT (dialectical behavioural therapy) and CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy).
In 2013 Flin joined the CPAC team where she received specialised training in assessments and testing and now conducts assessments with children and adolescents.

Maria Klothos
Practice Manager
Maria is our practice manager. She studied social work at UNSW and primary school education through Curtin Universtity. Prior to joining CPAC she worked for a well known Sydney law firm as a public relations officer where she liaised with hospital medical staff, legal professionals and psychologists.
Maria is knowledgeable about the NSW school and health system, psychological testing procedures and treatment options available for children and adolescents. All our psychologists and clients find her extensive knowledge base and approach towards parents invaluable.
